The Battle of Armageddon is not to be confused with the Final Rebellion of Satan at the end of the Millennium
The final rebellion of Satan in Revelations 20:7-10 at the end of the Millennium is NOT the battle of Armageddon. The battle of Armageddon is when the Beast and the False Prophet are defeated. Satan is bound for a thousand years and thrown into the Abyss. After the 1000 years are over, Satan is released for a short period but rebels once again. Fire comes down from heaven and defeats the nations that surround the camp of God’s people and Satan is thrown into the Lake of Fire which is the Second Death. This Rebellion at the end of the Millennium is not Armageddon. The Lake of Fire is where the Beast and the False Prophet were thrown when they were defeated at Armageddon.

The Day of the Lord culminates with the Battle of Armageddon. It is the Final Judgment upon the Nations (Pagans) where the Beast and the False prophet are defeated. It precedes the Millennium. It is not the same as the Battle of Gog and Magog at the End of the Millennium.
Rev 16:12-16 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river, Euphrates and it’s waters dried up to prepare the way for the Kings from the East. Then I saw three evil spirits that looked like frogs; they came out from the mouth of the Dragon, the mouth of the Beast and the mouth of the False Prophet. They are the spirits of demons performing miraculous signs, and they go out to the kings of the whole world to gather them for Battle on the Great day of the God Almighty. Behold, I come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him so that he may not go naked and shamefully exposed. Then they gathered the kings together to that place that is called in Hebrew ‘Armageddon’
This is the only place in scripture where the word ‘Armageddon’ is used. It is one of the Bowl Judgments on the Nations. It is completed by the end of the Seventh Bowl. Rev 16:17-21 The Bowl judgements are poured out at the end of the Great Tribulation upon the Nations of the Earth after the Church has been raptured. This is where the Beast and the False Prophet are defeated. The Battle of Armageddon is the Last Event to take place before the Millennium starts.
Some Christians (post-millennialists) believe that the final rebellion of Satan at the End of the Millennium (Rev 20:7-10) is the Battle of Armageddon. Premillenialists see this battle at Gog and Magog as a separate event at the End of the Millennium where Satan is finally thrown into the Lake of Fire after being given one last chance (it nevertheless has many similarities to the Battle of Armageddon in which Christ leads an army of redeemed believers to strike down the Kings of the Earth, the Beast and the False Prophet. Rev 19:11-21)
The battle of Armageddon involves the Beast and the False prophet and the Kings of the Earth. Rev 16:12-16
The battle of Gog and and Magog does not involve the Beast and the False Prophet. Rev 20:7-10 It is therefore, not the same as the battle of Armageddon.
The battle of Armageddon takes place at the End of the Great Tribulation before the Millennium Starts.
